Secluded Beauty
Unlike the more crowded beaches, Cala del Mallorquí provides a peaceful escape with its serene and relatively untouched environment. Surrounded by rocky cliffs and lush vegetation, the cove offers picturesque views and a rich natural setting perfect for relaxation and photography. Plus, the position of the beach offers fantastic sunset views, making it a great spot for an evening visit.
Water Activities and Rock Pools
The cove boasts crystal-clear waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The clarity of the water makes it easy to appreciate the marine life and underwater landscapes. The rocky surroundings create interesting rock pools that are fun to explore, especially for families with children. You might find a variety of sea anemones, small fish, crabs, and various types of seaweed, showing off Calpe's rich biodiversity.
Hiking Trails
The rocky terrain around the cove can be ideal for hiking and exploring. There are some beautiful trails nearby that offer scenic views of the coastline, such as Via de la Cova Tallada and Sendero del Peñagolosa.
ACCESS: You can drive to Calpe and then follow signs or GPS directions to the Cala del Mallorquí area. There are parking spots nearby, but they can get crowded, especially during peak season. There are also several hiking routes and trails that lead to or pass by Cala del Mallorquí.
FACILITIES: As a smaller and more secluded beach, facilities are limited. There aren't amenities like lifeguards, restrooms, or beach bars directly on the beach. Visitors typically bring their own supplies.
